Is there a way to not feel so empty inside?
Can I really have a relationship with God?
What does it mean to follow Jesus?
Is there life after death?
At Parkway, we began our ministry and continue it today because we know the answers to those questions. Everything we do revolves around our desire to introduce you to Christ and His amazing gift of forgiveness. We want you to know that God loves you, and He has a plan for your life.
Many people think that they can somehow earn their way into Heaven by being a good person or by regular church attendance. Some think that their good deeds, like giving to the poor or serving in soup kitchens, will get them into Heaven. But when it comes to really answering these questions, it’s not about anything that you can do.
It’s about something that Jesus did for you.
You were created for fellowship with God. That’s what God wants, but He wants you to want it too, so He gives you the freedom to choose. Unfortunately, we are all born sinners–we choose to go our own way rather than choosing obedience to God.
You see, all have sinned, and all their futile attempts to reach God in His glory fail. (Romans 3:23)
Sin shatters that fellowship. It forms a barrier that keeps us from having a relationship with God. There is only one way to bridge that barrier: Jesus.
Yet they are now saved and set right by His free gift of grace through the redemption available only in Jesus the Anointed. (Romans 3:24)
Jesus took the punishment for our sins in His death on the Cross. Our debt of sin–one we could never pay back–has been paid for us. Jesus rose from the dead and lives forever as our risen Messiah, proving that He overcame both sin and death, restoring the broken relationship between a holy God and a sinful people.
It’s all about faith.
By faith, we put our trust in Christ, acknowledging that only He can make the way for a relationship with God. No amount of good deeds or human effort earns us a place with God. It was only the sacrifice that Jesus made in giving up His life that would do.
So if you believe deep in your heart that God raised Jesus from the pit of death and if you voice your allegiance by confessing the truth that “Jesus is Lord,” then you will be saved! Belief begins in the heart and leads to a life that’s right with God; confession departs from our lips and brings eternal salvation. Because what Isaiah said was true: “The one who trusts in Him will not be disgraced.” (Romans 10:9-11)
Pursuing a relationship with God starts by accepting Jesus as your Savior. If this is your decision today, it begins with being genuinely sorry for your sin and turning away from it, then following Christ and completely relying on Him to put you in right relationship with God. Just pray and tell Him that you have made your choice–and you choose Him.
